August 26, Day 237 - Hallowe'en?

The kids spotted some Hallowe'en costumes in their closests today and so wanted to put them on.

 

August 25, Day 236 - SOLD!

I spotted this sign today. It's official - our neighbours are moving! So sad to see them go.

 

PS - There IS a sold sign on the top of the For Sale sign.

August 23, Day 234 - Another Miss

Since I didn't take any pictures today, here's one from 2005. Aaron, Zach and I went to Cleveland for a Bulldogs game in March. This is a picture we staged!

 

August 22, Day 233 - Things to Spot

Zach really loves the search and find books. So he and Lexi sat on the chair together, without fighting, and did a couple of pages in the book while I started to prepare supper.

 

August 21, Day 232 - Busy!

It was a very busy day today and I didn't get the camera out! Zach had a birthday party to attend in Brantford, then we dropped the kids off for a sleep over at Uncle Ryan and Aunt Jessica's house and then to Princeton for a Buck and Doe. So here's a picture from 2007!

 

August 20, Day 231 - Liquid paper

Lexi has had a rough couple of days. First, on Wednesday Rockee caught her with her paw and scratched her face really good. Then after supper tonight she and Zach were playing on the swing and she took a face plant off of it and ate some dirt, now her nose has a few scratches on it. A little while later, she took the liquid paper from the office desk and decided to use it as eye shadow.

 

August 19, Day 230 - Splash Pad

Our neighbour Jenn, and I decieded to take the kids to the Dundas Driving Park splash pad, only to find out that it was the only day it's closed all year. They were setting up for the Cactus Festival which is on this weekend. So off to Brantford we headed to the Mohawk Park splash pad. The kids had a wonderful time and throughly enjoyed their time in the water.

 

 

August 18, Day 229 - Last Summer

August 17, Day 228 - Hamilton Waterfront

Today Mom and I took the kids to the Discovery Centre, rode the trolley and then they played in the boat/splash pad! We had a great time and all very much enjoyed the time there together.

In the Discovery Centre, Zach and Lexi were given a scavenger hunt and had to find 8 items in the museum.

August 16, Day 227 - New Car

Here's our new car that we picked up today. It's a 2007 Ford Fusion. We love it!

 

Sorry the picture is a bit fuzzy. I didn't realize until Tuesday that some how the auto focus button had been turned off.

August 15, Day 226 - Riding a Bike

So the time had come to take the training wheels off Zach's bike, he was far too confident and taking too many risks with his bike. He and Lexi found the right wrench to remove his wheels so off they came. It didn't take him long to figure it out. I basically held the seat stable while he climbed on, he was then able to get it moving with no problem. Once or twice he was able to do it all on his own!! So proud of my little boy!

 

 

August 14, Day 225 - Pam's Party day

Every year around her birthday, Pam has one Saturday set aside as River Day/Birthday Celebration. This year we also threw into the mix a congratulatory celebration. Pam is off the Halton Regional Police Service to begin her new career on August 23rd, then Police College in Aylmer in September.

 

My little daredevil! She always asks to "go faster and more bumps" and never wants to come back to the dock.

August 13, Day 224 - My 1st Baby

All cleaned up and ready to be sold!

 

My 2000 Grand Prix, with all the options, sat at the end of the drive way for 6 hours on Friday and almost 4 hours on Saturday before she sold and was driven away. I had an almost teary good bye, gave her hood a hug and told her she was good to me before her new owner drove her away. What a sad but happy day! Can't wait to get our new car on Monday - 2007 Ford Fusion!

August 11, Day 222 - River Day

Taking advantage of Pam's time off from work. We spent the day at the river playing around on her Sea Doo.

 

 

 

August 10, Day 221 - Pam's Birthday

It was Pam's birthday so I left the family at home, and went out with my parents and Pam to celebrate. We went to Lemongrass, a Thai restaurant that Pam loves.

 

 

August 9, Day 220 - The toad

August 8, Day 219 - Anniversary Party #2

Grandma City and Poppa will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary later this month, but before Aunt Anne heads off to Newfoundland for university we all got together for a celebratory dinner at Kings' Buffett.
