Zach thought to check the butterfly this morning before school and to our surprise it was ready to leave the peanut butter jar it had been in.
It's a male butterfly as it has the 2 black glands on it's lower wings.

September 29, Day 270 - Autumn Trees and Sunset
I was trying to find a nice picture of autumn trees to enter in the Fair (nothing like leaving things to the last minute!). It was a hard task as I didn't have any and the trees are just starting to turn now. This is the one I entered - it's the driveway off Highway 54 into Big Creek Boat Farm. There was a nice sunset tonight, too.
September 28, Day 269 - Twin Lambs
Since yet another day went by with no pictures. Here are the twin lambs with their momma from Ancaster Fair.
September 27, Day 268 - Ancaster Fair
I took the kids to Ancaster Fair yesterday and since I didn't take any pictures today here are some from yesterday.
They loved watching Bandaloni, the one man band.
I had to try the deep fried Mars bar. It was a nice snack but not quite worth the $5 price tag!
The kids sat and watch the beef show for about 20 mintues.

Both got to hold a baby chick that was 3 days old.

September 25, Day 267 - Hockey Evaluations
Since I was working the Ticat game and didn't make it to Zach's hockey evalution today, here is a picture from last years - when he didn't even get on the ice! He did much better this year and hasn't forgotten how to skate over the summer.
September 24, Day 266 - Moon in the morning
When I woke up this morning to get Zach ready for school, I happened to see the moon still peeking over the barn.
September 23, Day 265 - Meet the Teacher Night
Tonight was "Meet the Teacher" night for Zach's school. We had supper and met Mrs. Banbury. We also looked at the old cars that were on display.

Zach spied this airplane out the office window. He thought it was a water plane until I pointed out it had wheels!

September 15, 16, 17, 18; Days 257-260 - Catch up!
Wow, life gets busy once school starts up again. Not quite sure how that happens but none the less I took a vacation from my camera! Many things happened on Saturday and so here's a little taste of what we did.
My Mom, the kids and I went down to the Hunt Club at the corner for their annual Stirrup Cup - the 1st hunt of the season! I just love the red coats.
While we were taking the dock out for the season, we noticed the top of a vehicle in the river on the other side, so we all went down when we noticed tow trucks where there. They pulled a truck out of the river. In all my years here, I have never seen that before.
A baby Monarch butterfly.
Grandpa had to stay behind to get some bales ready for one of his customers and once he had finished he walked down to the river to see the truck being pulled out. Here the kids run to him.

September 14, Day 256 - Hockey?
Zach's hockey season starts in a little over a week so he was out practicing in the driveway.
Lexi was just out having some fun!

September 13, Day 255 - 2008
Yes, another day of having no time for pictures! The Ebert family went to a Blue Jays game in September of 2008. Here's a coule of pics from that day.
